My 1100 has gone to an independant garage... pleasley.

Battery was showing as faulty on my optimate.... so that changed and a few bits done as its almost at 18,000miles.

Bike has been running 'rich' asked him to sort that as well.

Phone call today... bike not ready due to not being able to resolve this fuelling issue. he says there is something 'missing' and so the 'computer' isn't working right. Awaiting to hear from bmw.

just wondered if anyone has any idea what may be going on.

Bike didn't have a cat code plug when i got it... could that be it?

As far as I'm aware the bike is one of the last 1100s and not an import. completely 'stock' and though the fuel consumption has been a little on the high side... the bike has been rock solid reliable.

thanks in advance.

no... not a bmw only independant. They describe themselves as "specialists in BMW and Kawasaki" and came with some high reccomendations from local tossers as a cheaper alternative to the local BMW dealership (who I dislike)

as for your other questions steppers... I'll get an answer to those tomorrow.

Thanks for taking the time to repond.

My optimate "was showing my battery was faulty" so I chopped the naff connectors off the optimate, and fitted another "halfords own" and guess what my battery now charges ok and I don't get no dodgy red/amber lights. :thumb2
