Basically I am fitting a USB point to the clocks area (not decided on exact location yet) mainly to power a satnav, so I would like to know what kind of connection for the wire is at the fuse box, how do I get to it and which fuses are the spare ones?

Or, do I connect direct to the battery and fit an inline fuse?

Thanks for your help

To battery into battery with in line fuse is the simplest option for you needs.

If you want info on your fuses look at the Sticky thread, it's the top one in the 1100/1150 section

Print it off, cut/fold in half and laminate then it fits in your fuse box for future reference.

You can pick up the feed from the heated grips supply. Remove the tank and it's a piece of cake to tap into.

Thanks guys, I was reluctant to tap into any wires due to overloading the wiring? ?
Will print that off, thanks

Current draw for a sat nav or intercom will be fine. Same doesn't apply for a pair of aux lamps however.

Indeed, and that will be my next project, looks like the fuel tank has to come off to access the battery, am just waiting for some heatshrink to arrive and ill fit the USB
