1100 running like a dog.

Motronic reset?

Only had once a wierd dog-like running other than typical badly seated throttle cable, and it was I somehow managed to confuse Motronic. Needed a reset.

1100 Running like a thoroughbred!!

Well,

Having done everything I listed above and waited for my ACF 50 to arrive from NN's, I have now coated the wiring loom under the tank before refitting it, filling the tank, re-fitting the end can with exhaust paste.

Got my kit on and started her up. 20 mins later get back with a big grin: the 1100 absolutely flew: felt faster than my 1150!!

So the cause? Well, its probably a combination of things but I reckon the biggest factor was simply shagged fuel in the tank: just gives me an idea of how badly a GS would run on low octane!

Thanks to all who gave me pointers: you were spot on!

A few cosmetic bits to sort out and some corroded switches to replace and we're there!!

WOOHOO!!

You'll have to wait a bit longer.

Some of the body work is still off for me to tart it up and I need to burn about 12000 calories on the wheel rims.

I think by the time they are shiny again, they'll be too thin to use!!

Yes I know the feeling however the ladies like me new biceps!" :rob

fCoz it's faster, it is lighter bike with de-facto better gearing for better power distribution :thumb :D

Good to hear you got it sorted out! :thumb2

Cheers, Margus :beerjug:

1100 soughted...

Well DONE Troops! :beerjug:
Another 1100 soughted. My old girl was a Heap of Poo. I rebuilt her a few Mods and well? Its now how it should be. Pulls real strong. Fuel?
I run on Hi Octane or Low Octane no Probs. In the Mountains I go for extra Ks so I usually run Hi Oc.
:rob Took a New One for a run. Well, Id rather work on an old one than work on a new one?
BIGJim :beerjug:
