ive noticed that my GS is idiling badly sometimes fast sometimes very slow. it will often cut out and it seems to be more often when its warm. any tips where to look?
have a look at the vacuum pipe take off on the inlet stubbs the rubber caps can perish and let air in these are changed normally every service by the main stealership
oddly enough i was just telling someone that it felt like a vacuum leak.. whats an inlet stub? can you direct me to the right area? and will a tube used like a stethoscope hear the leak like i would do with a car?
If you do the general service yourself it will not cost you much to get bikes valves cleared, co2 adjusted along with idle speed etc by bmw. The gaskets that lead from the front of the throttle bodies to to cylinder perish and are worth checking. About @20 from Motorworks...
