OK so I'm sure I'm just being a bit dim here, but I have to admit I'm stuck.

I've rotated my 1100's bars forwards in their clamps (so that all of my palms contact the grips, not just the heels of my palms - relieving the numbness it was causing).

So, the bars are now at a better angle, the problem is that I need to twist the grips/light clusters/mirrors back towards me.

If I undo the screw holding the switch cluster halves I can free up the clusters, but they're additionally held in place by another, lateral bolt that ties them to a part that seems to be fixed solidly in place on the main part of the handlebar - i.e. it appears that the clusters can only possibly sit in one single position relative to the bars.

This can't be right, surely, what am I missing??

Cheers,

Paul G

I did this for better comfort.. and it was a bit of a palarver to adjust the levers, but it can be done.. it involves (if I remember) removing some 'covers' that sit over the switches, this allows the levers to be loosened and moved.

I'll try and post a picture If no one else comes up with a better worded explanation..

You`re right...that`s not right.... :D

You`ve missed seeing the 'switchgear cluster' pinch bolts that retain them in the current 'wrong' position. They`re small allen cap screws...if I remember right they`re 5mm thread.

You appear to be getting confused with the anti-vibration torsion mount on the outer parts of the bars.

Have a closer look...

Maybe one day I'll get round to having a look at this in daylight rather than by candle.... :D

Thanks for the response.

<<< DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE PINCH BOLTS >>>

The RHS assembly (with the master cylinder) is prone to breaking

Don't ask me how I know :(
