Hello. I have a 1999 1100gs which has had its ABS system removed. I would like to replace all of the brake hoses, can I just order a kit to suit a non ABS model or will I need any custom made lines?
Thanks.

Motobins do replacements, perhaps you could measure the lengths of yours and ask them to check to see which lines match?

I don't think its the length of hoses.
Just the orientation of the rear brake pipe connections are different between non and abs.

This should have remained unchanged as the abs removal would have just required a small copper pipe joining the front brake to rear brake at the headstock area.

Therefore you should be ordering an abs rear hose to suit the correct orientation.

PS, this was my experience on 1150.:beerjug:

When My R1100 was up for new brake lines I was told that all stainless give a very hard wooden pedal to the rear with no "feel" as its such a short run, I don't know if its true because I opted for a new original rubber pipe for the rear and stainless for the front, very happy with combination.
