Since collecting my bike I have never seen either of the ABS lights come on. With the fuse box uncovered, I turn the key in the ignition and all other lights work (unless there is one for the choke?). I can feel (and hear) the ABS relay clicking away, but no lights.

I'm wondering if this may be due to a dodgy battery. I've had it on the charger although it never gets completely charged although it measures over 13v after a copule of hours charging. My clock has also reset to zero on a copule of occassions.

Could this also relate to my stalling issues (bike runs fine, but stalls at idle)?
My initial reaction was a bad battery, especially as my trip home with the bike showed that the heated grips were getting cooler as the journey went on. When I got home, I put the meter on the battery and was getting over 14.5V at 2000 rpm, so I presumed that the charging circuit was fine, but maybe the battery isn't holding the charge.

The clock resetting sounds like a battery cell might have failed or lost most of its capacity. My car did this & battery was bulloxed. The battery is easy to test with a heavy duty load tester.

Also check the generator is working properly - drive belt is ok, output voltage, etc.

I did think about the bulbs, and the possibility that the previous owner took them out rather than have an error flashing all the time.

With regard to the battery, it could be a bad cell, certainly has some of the symptoms. It's not a sealed unit so I will check the levels once I take it out (I have a full tank of fuel at the moment which makes it a bit awkward).
