1100GS & RT spare parts.

Hello fellow tossers
I've been offered an 1100RT engine for a song. apart from the camshafts does anyone know what, if any, are the differences between the engines?

RT's

Main one is the heads can't remeber which is which but GS has a single exhaust port and RT has two so the heads are different a mate slipped up like this despite being assured by BMW at the NEC they were the same No!!!!!. So check this point.

I had a feeling that it had to do with the heads, The Guy's not asking much for the block, but I don't want something sitting in my garage for years that I'm not going to use.

Post 8/97 the heads are the same, not sure about before that

You can use the R1100 exhaust set up and it works fine
