I need some crashbars/engine bars fir my 1150gs. any advice on a good set? some look the part but i wonder if they would do the job.

Hepco & Beckers - in my experience (which unfortunately includes road testing them a couple of times  ) they give the engine the best protection.

Get them powder coated before you fit them - they come powder coated but it's a crap process with the hardiness of chocolate.

Get them at Motorworks or Motobins...

Had a set of sw motech on my old 1150 and they were very good, good powder coat too. Now have standard bm bars, they do the job too but don't look as good or look as sturdy as the sw motech bars.

I've had the wunderlich crash bars fitted to my bike since new.

Saved the bike loads of time when I've dropped it. The good thing is they are fit and forget as you can do all the servicing without having to remove them. They are made from steal tubing, which is only painted. After 10 years on my bike they have corroded. So they are off being powder coated.

Plenty of choices, do your research.:thumb2
