1150 exhaust removal question

so im trying to remove my standard exhaust of the 1150 gs. i have undone all the bolts but cant see how i remove the shield covering the pipe from the cat if that makes sense. the exhaust is loose but i cant get the exhaust off without getting the shield off hows that done then anyone? please

If you have undone the clamp bolt under the shield then all you need do is wriggle the can around (remove it's mounting bolt first!) The clamps & shield will come off with the can and can then be removed. Clean up the threads and lubricate it before you put it back.

cheers mate. i have undone the retaining bolts at the foot hanger and the 15mm bolts holding the exhaust on near the cat and it twists in my grip but as the shield is still on i cant seem to pull it off the pipe as the sheild seems to stop it. is that a matter of me being a lightweight and i need to pull harder or does the sheild have to come off separate to allowing the exhaust to pull off the pipe
 
cancel that mate ive done it. i just needed to man the fook up! cheers for your help.
