1150 fuel tank

can a 1150 fuel tank fit an 1100 and it must fit properly im sure somone out thare has tried it before

No. Rob farmer tried it, and posted some pics of the mismatch somewhere.

Any of the steel fuel tanks are a straight swap. The plastic 1100 tank will not fit on the 1150 and the steel tanks can only be fitted to a plastic tanked 1100 by swapping the silver plastic bits, that fit against the tank, with the later 1100 silver plastic bits and rubbers...Simple?...cost a bloody fortune to find that lot out

Rob, I know your the expert but isn't it just the two black rubbers that need changing or as you said above the silver bits as well. If its the silver bits as well I have a tank for sale....

The picture shows how the earlier silver bits go under the lip on the later steel tank. The only way to make them fit is to have shorter silver bits and different shaped rubber buffers.

Terry your PM is full. My tank is a resprayed metal tank. It is in good condition but I have never actualy seen it in the flesh. It is in yorkshire by the way. Once I sort it out with my M8 where it is in his cellar I'll get back to you to sell it.
