BMW GS 1100/1150 Fuel tanks

In removing my fuel pump from the tank all but two of the nuts that hold it in place have sheered off. By their appearance it seems that the threads are welded in from factory? if this is the case it looks like I either need a replacement tank or I sell the bike as is for spares. Undecided what to do with it currently as I have spent a fair few quid trying to sort it out. Would really depend on what a new tanks going to cost.

Any ideas/repairs anyone heard off?

Crikey, I'm not fussy on the colour to be honest. The bike is currently black but was manderine from new i believe. How much would you want for it?

Spoken too soon as I have decided to keep this one in case I need to return my GS to Standard…it’s current with a GSA tank.
Sorry. Buddy, this tank cost me more then a slight battered one from Motorworks or James Sherlock would set you back today.
Also there are a few on EBay..it made me realise it’s getting more difficult to find a very good one.

OK this is a useable solid tank it does have a couple of dents , scratches marks as you would expect please see all the pics , the factory interior paint is flaky in places but sevicable the bike was running perfectly, most importantly the treads on the bolts are good, if you are looking for...
