I'm in denial about the clutch slave cylinder leak though. How long do I have to ignore it before it goes away?

And the ceramic coaters are 10 days behind schedule, so no startup this weekend. Guess I'll just have to fix that clutch leak instead.

And we'll leave that overnight to see how much the bugger is leaking.

Just get it done.....regardless of what the manual tells you, it can be done with everything in situ.....I have done it but it is bloody fiddly. If you don't do it you will be sitting wondering when it will go....and the answer is when you are furthest from help!

Cheers O&F, just kidding, I'll sort it at the weekend.

Your new horn box looks like a CD of the kind of hardcore house music I listened to in the 90's.

Loving 'pimp my Beemer', it's a great read/watch !

Well a long weekend of work on this with little to show for it. Clutch slave cylinder leak is now fixed - it was a flaw in the new copper crush washer fitted to the banjo. Moral of that story is just reuse the old 'uns!

Lots more wiring up, fitted the hardcore hose sound- bomb, which does exactly what it says in the box.

The new speedo cable meant a dismantle and rebuild of the instrument panel, grrr.

Funky led rear light and indicators also went on - I like them a lot.

Looking great Simon and glad you like the LED bits and bobs. Work well don't they :beerjug:

Cheers Stu, yes they're excellent- can't imagine why all bikes don't have these .

Not much to report this week - other than, imagine the two worst jobs on the Oilhead, and yes I'm doing or have just done them: fix the clutch slave cylinder leak and replace the throttle, fast idle cables and Bowden box.

Pipes still not back from the ceramic coaters so they got a bollocking yesterday "We'll move them up the priority list". We'll see ... apparently their production machines don't work when it's hot outside, though they operate at over 1000 degrees C. Nice one!

And a few more little jobs - I've got enough QDs now to make a fully detachable crossover fuel pipe, so cleaned them all up and replaced the O rings.

All the cables replaced now as well. And time for a new fuel filter and U hose.

Hmm, when was this last replaced?

Tidied up the filler cap drain, and even though it's an adventure tank there's still sense in doing the filler neck mod ...
