1150 gs cuts out without warning

My 2003 1150 twin spark has cut out twice on the motorway and won’t restart, I could not hear the fuel pump charging so the first time I stripped everything and when I put it back together everything was working. I have now fitted a new pump and it is still not charging, any ideas

Same happened to me, as I was passing out a couple of cars on a fast road. I had to stay out there on the white line till the cars passed on my inside, then I pulled in. I took off the saddle and checked the fuses and relays and the Motronic unit, pressed the button and the bike burst to life and then cut out again. I gave the Motronic another push down with the gurly button pressed and the bike started again. That was last year, no bother since.
