1150 GS no start no spark Electrical help please.

I recently removed my fuel tank to give bike clean with soap and water, after fitting tank back ohto bike I t will not start , I have checked fuel ok, I have no spark from either side. Engine cranks ok, all controls/ lights working ok. Just have no spark. When I fitted tank back onto bike I fired it up and it started straight away , it was running for around 30 seconds when it cut out.
Is there an electrical guru out there to help?

check if youre ht leads coils may be not working check all the wiring connections do the basics first, also never wash your bike .

Thanks for your help Sheene, Im gonna have to go by a volt meter arnet I ? Once I find the HT leads are ok and I go to the coil, how do I check the wiring going into the coil. Also I have a blown Fuse under the seat, sitting on the bke its a 30amp 3rd from the left. I replaced this but still no spark. yes I soaped and watered it all under the tank, I didnt think Id have a problem as I have dropped this bike twice into rivers totally submerged and firs time I have electrical problem is when I put a bit soap and water and clean it.
