1150 GSA auxiliary sockets - charging?

Can I use one of the auxiliary sockets on my GSA to charge the battery? I have an early Optimate charger which I use on my R100T. Do Optimate do a plug which fits or does anyone know of another supplier of these and is there a right and wrong way of attaching the wires?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Just use one of the DIN plugs, centre +ve. That help?

You can get the DIN Plugs (and sockets) from Vehicle Wiring Products - here:

The genuine BMW plugs, as sold by Motobins / Motor Works are better quality though.
