More than likley. Its most likley the wiring on the sensor not the sensor itself. Take the cover off and move the wiring to see if the bike fires when the break is reconnected.

If so rewire it to save some pennies.

Hi, I have a spark when turning over, all lights on with sidestand up or down. No noise from pump even when ignition on and turning back wheel, fuse and relay for pump ok.

Am i right in guessing Hall sensor?

I neglected to say that it has to be in gear when you're turning the back wheel (you are wanting to turn the engine over so that the hall sensor gets triggered) - you probably already new this - but just in case.

Put it in top gear - you may find you need to take the plugs out (can be hard to force it over compression with the back wheel).

As I said, hopefully someone familiar with this test will chip in - it's something I recall reading about but haven't tried myself - I wouldn't want you to be wasting your time if I've got it wrong.

If the fuel pump isn't priming when you first turn the ignition on then something is wrong with the fuel pump or the pump supply.
Nothing whatsoever to do with the hall sensor.

Now, it's simple, one thing at a time instead of the scatter gun guessing approach. Does the pump prime when you turn the ignition on ?

I don't think I can hear anything from the fuel pump, so am wondering if this is the problem?

"I don't think i can hear anything from the fuel pump" isn't a very useful, in fact it's meaningless - it's "yes" you can. Or "no" you can't.

sorry for the confusion, the bike is new to me having bought it from my brother in London, I haven't got round to registering in my name yet as his sub was still valid and he no longer has a bike, didn't think I would need to post for advice so soon after buying bike. Intend to register asap.
Anyway I have managed to establish that there is no sound from pump, and have checked that there is power to the pump through the wiring but when pump is wired straight to battery via brown(earth) and green(live) wires pump still makes no sound, so I am assuming it is the pump at fault.
