Test rode the new twin cam 1200 the other day & really liked it, so am thinking about one as a retirement present to myself :bounce1

Dealer only wants my bike as standard spec as trade in & offered £5750 as such, before I spend ages removing all the bits to sell on here has anyone any idea how much it would be worth as it is?

It's an "Adventure for Shorties" i.e.
Standard GS Ohlins front & rear (rebuilt <3000 miles ago)
Standard centrestand
Sargent low seat

It also has loads of other goodies, main ones being:

Remus Y Piece & Revolution Titanium can
Migsel light bar with Hella FF50 / Micro DE lights fitted by BigTrailBikeRider using his superb high quality loom & autoswitch
Tobinators
Pyramid Carbon Fibre Hugger
T/T Sidepanels
T/T Centrestand Guard
T/T Lockstop
Adventure Topbox / "System" paniers
Numerous other smaller items

Bike is 2005 in White Aluminium, described by dealer (& me) as immaculate, 22800 miles, Conti Trail Attacks (<3000 miles ago) no horrible servo assisted ABS, serviced by BM up to warranty expiry, then by yours truly.

Suppose it depends whether anyone wants one already sorted for shorties, obviously I have all the bits to put it back to standard.

So any ideas of value appreciated.

Thanks

Ade

Ohlins have got to be worth £500 on their own,so i'd guess you could sell all the bits for up to a grand.Bike,as std worth £5750 to dealer.
Why not offer the bike on here first;sounds a good one.
edit:just noticed, you have done some of your own servicing;i thought BWM dealers got a bit sniffy at that and insist on full BWMSH.

The 'Approved Used' scheme does specify that the bike has been known to the dealer network its whole life but taking the bike as trade-in doesn't mean they have to sell it themselves - they might farm it out to an independent dealer as they would for any non-BMW bike being traded-in.

But I agree it might be worth offering the bike for sale on here before agreeing to a trade-in - there are always people looking for good 1150Advs and you could save yourself the hassle of returning it to standard :thumb2
