1150 GSA Ohlins

On my previous GSA I had to fit a low seat and std GS shocks as I am a short arse, I might have found another 1150 GSA with Ohlins fitted, can anybody tell me if these are height adjustable?

Ohlins will make it another 1.5" higher than a stock 1150GSA

Shortening Ohlins can be achieved in a very expensive way

Better to get a pair of 1150GS shocks and stands to lower it and sell the GSA Ohlins for big bucks

You can order Wilbers shocks in lower sizes -no surcharge for this if you state length when you place your order, - increments of 5 mm, but as stated above , if you get lower shocks, then you need a lower centre and side stand.
I have an 1150 Adv extra low seat (black & yellow) which I don't need, if you're interested !

Cheers Johnny B, funny old thing the seller told me that they were the same size as the standard GSA shocks.............

Oblertone without upsetting tuned how much do you think they would be worth?

The OE shocks are not as firm and have greater sag than the Ohlins and so the bike sits lower. Travel does not seem to be greatly affected as the Ohlins simply sit higher at rest. Adjusting the preload brings them down a little, but will affect the handling and increase the risk of bottoming the suspension. I have a set of Wilbers on mine and swear by them - although I went the other way (GS to GSA height) - increasing the height and travel for better luggage/pillion capacity and clearance on poor roads. These lifted the bike about 2 inches. Wilbers will custom build to your specs (takes 2 to three weeks) and what you save you can put towards your next trip!
