1150 GSA twin or single spark

roll on the weekend :beerjug: tried to get evenings of but shift patterns suck this week haha

Nope never ever again haha

;) Finalising the deal on the 04

Well done, I bet your looking forward to getting your hands on it. I have just found out I'm stuck out in SA for another fortnight so won't be able to get hands on my new steed for a bit longer too!! Still the wait will be worth it. Have fun

Decided to wait till I find a silver GSA had my heart set on one since I was 14 :) you will soon be racking up the miles mate bet you can't wait

Still thinking about the whole twin v single spark thing haha

There are two new ones posed up on Ebay today, bit pricey but both lovely looking bikes. If I hadn't wanted an SE as much as you obviously wanted a sliver one I would have had either. Good luck, but don't dally too much or there will be no summer left to enjoy it.

yep the first one went really fast this morning the 5,500 quid one that was a nice bike 20,000 miles and bmw luggage do know they would have took closer to 5k so can see why it was the price it was, adds up with 4 other silver ones I'd seen sell with 20k miles around and just under the 5,000 mark

the other two at 7k are out of my price range tbh guess we all have our limits :)

I'd reset your priorities. Don't let the flippin colour make the choice for you! (unless it was yellow, in which case, forget it ).

I'm worried you're now going to say the silvery ones go faster

This, buy the best bike you look at and consider who has owned it, whether it has been genuinely looked after all of its life or abused and then tarted up for sale.

Go back to post #31

Am gonna buy on condition and colour I'll know when the right bike comes up for me :) gotta be silver only colour for me

This has to be the most boring bike search! Get a bike and enjoy it rather than getting hung up on .5 bearing play.

Agreed, the black 2004 in Yorkshire is the best one you'll find at a reasonable price

Not getting hung up one with main bearings gone, one that looked like it was dragged out of a lake, one totally overpriced for what was wrong with it. One with a clutch that had gone, if the owners like 1 we seen where honest then one would be in the back of the van not looking for impossible looking for a correct bike In the correct condition at the right price know they are out there because 4 sold a month ago at the right money in the right condition but it was before my liquid cooled had gone so hands were tied

Fool and his money are easily parted bar the twin Vs single spark issue know what I'm looking at bike wise so I'm probably finding things where someone else would have got caught out.

When someone says they all do that mate when the crank bearings are gone that's not very honest ( had a BMW mottorad technician in toe that day)

Agree Johnny whoever ends up with it will have a cracker but the colour just isn't for me all personal preference

Got the offer of one again seen it and it wants for nothing it's perfect no play disks ok get there after 3 hour trip = final drive and parellever issues again and disks+pads so far gone the front wheels jamming on is hardly wants for nothing

end of the day it's all a cost and if the price doesn't really reflect it I won't part with my cash :beerjug: another one another day :)

Paint it Silver then

I have both and whilst the Silver is nice ..........I think the deep gloss sheen of the Black GSA just edges it

Just gonna wait for a silver one, that busy with work wont have the time to go do painting or projects that time off = riding time :)

got the use of the old mans Gixer :beerjug::friday haha so it's all good for now till the right one for me comes up, Was two a month ago but the owners decided they didn't wanna part with them after offering them a shame but does show they are out there, only gotta look at the quality of bikes that were for sale in jan :)

They are out there :bounce1

This Silver one has had no extra polishing,no touched up paint, no stainless fasteners...... since BMW painted it in 2005 at the factory

It is just as it left the showroom, 12 years ago in April 2005

Quality, back in the day.............when BMW could produce a quality finish :augie
