Does anyone know the generic bearing number, and what the likely prices are from BMW and a bearing specialist. ie is it easier to just buy from BMW or worth going to a bearing shop.

I bought one for £19 delivered from a specialist bearing shop, quality not mad in china, i can get the part number and phone number tomorrow if you need it.

Yep please do pass on the number - it will be useful for others in the future too, I'm sure.

I'm putting it back together for the commute as is and will order bearing and do next w/e.
