Guys got my 1150GS on the road loving it.
it has servo brakes.
I want to fit my power lead for tom tom rider. any one give me a quick method for this to save me a day trying to find where to wire it.
I am an electrician although not motor mechanic so am fairly ok with identifying.
But want a speedy solution so I can learn from your previous.
cheers in advance.

Depends ...

... on what you want ? Permanent live = straight to battery, for switched live peeps usually use the rear light feed. You can of course put a 'jumper' on a fuse to give an alternative switched live, or fit an auxilliary 'centech' fusebox. Unfortunately there is no single solution but I can verify that all three suggested above will work :thumb2

thanks chaps, I think I was after switched so the tom tom goes off and on with ignition. Doesnt matter ultimately but just saves a job when parking.

The NN link does switched and un-switched ;)

If the TomTom is anything like the Garmin, you will want a switched source to prevent corrosion on the power pins.

I wired mine through to a spare violet lead at the headstock plug disconnect (that handles key/ignition switch feeds). Turned out that this spare violet gives (un fused ) +12V except when key at the steering lock postion.

Seems to be OK and avoids splicing into more important switched power leads!

You need to take the tank off to see this plug.
