I heard of this recently on a thread I can't find now. Anyone know what it consists of, how much, photos? etc
Thanks in advance :)

Take the cover off the starter motor with one screw and use standard lightweight jump leads on the pos feed, much cheaper:thumb

Bits available from your BM dealer, not too expensive if I remember and easy to fit, hardest bit was lining up where to drill the hole in the plastic starter moter cover

forgot to say, bits are two fancy bolts, one for the cylinder head (earth) and one for the starter(live), connecting plate to starter and rubber bung cover for pos bolt, fiiting approx 15 mins.

Thanks folks, I will investigate my starter motor area later, bound to have some bits n pieces lying around to make something up :thumb2

That sounds like the bits fitted as standard to the Adventure model....;)

Looked into that a couple of years ago, the normal GS: doesnt have the thread for the post on its head so the kit won't fit it.:(

You don't need the proper post, just a decent earth. There's a caphead on the rear of the l/h cylinder that will do, as will the gearbox oil filler & drain plugs - worked for me earlier this evening jumping a GS of my car.
