Find your local autoelectrical place that does recon units on the premises, far cheaper :thumb2

I just had a new starter fitted today on my 1150GS under warranty from the dealers i bought it with.

They were quoted 125 quid for a recon one and 175 for a new BMW one.....as it was warranty work and i am an argumentative ****er i got a new BMW one :augie

Thanks guys for the help but sourced one from a car spares supplier that my mate uses, he runs his own garage.
Quoted the Valeo number of the starter and he had one each side of that number on the shelf. Told him afterwards that it was for a motorbike but he had already phoned back saying he could supply one next day for £105 plus vat.
Thats a brand spanker Valeo unit exchange..... result.

Anybody need one let me know and if you get my mate a drink will sort it..:thumb2

Thats good value, but the link I posted above is just under £120, a brand new Valeo as used by bmw, delivered to your door with no exchange required.:thumb

some opel 1.6 starter fits, but it spins the other way! replace the magnets and it fits.
