Can any one tell me where and how the anti rattle plate fits into the rear brake caliper on my 2000 W reg 1150.
Us oldies who dont wear glasses when taking them apart get stuck when we have to put hem back together.

This is my first post and thanks for everyone who partakes in this forum, very informative.

This screenshot doesn't make it very clear (the "Locating Plate" is item 5 near the big black arrow) but from memory its a slightly curved metal clip and fits snugly into a recess at the top of the caliper, with the curve facing down if that makes sense. You may find it easier to unbolt the caliper from the bike and turn it upside down.

Pity there are no char left in windermere though

20 years ago the site of windermere char boats was a joy to behold. Nowadays there are very few catching few fish. They are also in Coniston and Some scottish lochs as they are a post glacial fish needing cold dark water..
They are truly marvelous home smoked.

Thanks for that CB. Sorry to wander off on one..:rob .. but it just came to me when I saw your username ..... :mmmm .... :thumb2
