1150 Sump Plug

I'm halfway through my first oil change on my 1150.

I've removed the sump plug to drain the oil, but I was expecting to find a sealing washer on the sump plug to replace - but no sign of one.

Is there supposed to be one on a late 2002 1150?? There was no sign of any leakage before.....

Should be a copper one - is it stuck to the face of the opening? If not, someone's bodged it last time.

Mine is aluminium, could be stuck to sump.
Doubt it would seal without one, you would have seen the leak for sure!

Guess what I just found in the bottom of the bowl I drained into!!!


Must look a bit harder next time!
