1150 tank colour - what would you have?

If you were to change your tank, what colour would you go for?

Mine is silver and have always had a hankering for a white one...

If you’re changing the colour of the whole bike I'd always stay away from anything that was offered by BMW.

I recall an orange 1150 with a 41 TT tank on here which looked very nice.

And nothing metallic or sparkly, 1150's don't suit it IMO.

funny enough, I was going to say orange, I like the bmw yellow/orange ones but sadly I have a black one. if I keep it I think I will get around to painting it KTM Orange

was going to do a matte alpine white one, but the body shop can do a shiny orange one if you want

good question - i'm picking it up and then taking it for olivine blasting this week, so it will be a totally bespoke job.
BMW emblems, but no graphics sourced yet. Could leave that to you if you want

I thought about going camo and photoshoped a pic, but decided against it.

I just left it yellow as it is the fastest colour..............

The manager at Cardiff Hein Gericke had a desert camo GS. It was a German splinter pattern (pale brown & sand) as used on WW2 tanks. The bike really looked great.

Is this for the offroad bike or the road-only bike Michael (that's if you did buy a bike for offroad alone)?

I reckon it's either Desert Storm overalls or the 02:30hrs in Whitely Bay Slinky.

You know what all of that means so don't mess with it until you're sure what you're want.

well i was going to do this as a tester to see what people liked the idea of.
I was going to put it on my GSA but I think I will just get it painted then move it on ( i have two tanks)

Picking it up on Wednesday then straight to the blasters to get cleaned up (olivine) back to bare metal, then zinc phosphate coated (two pack compatible!)

If anyone wants a new tank for their GS let me know and it will get painted how you want it...
