1150GS ADV Does not Start

I have not used my Adventure for 2 mos. due to rains. I tried to start the engine today to no avail. Exactly last week though, it started in just one press of the starter button. I am puzzled why. Any ideas?

does it turn over?
do the lights go dim, when you try to start it?
any clicking sounds?

none of that happens. In fact battery is hooked to a battery tender 24/7.

It'll be under water then. You could try fitting a snorkel

Alternatively, asside from the usual culprits (fuel, battery, kill switch, not in neutral), the troubleshooting chart in my GS12A handbook has this entry:

Possible cause:
Clutch pulled when ignition was OFF

Remedy:
Switch on the ignition, then pull the clutch lever

Not sure what that's all about, but you could try it.
