After inspecting my clutch fluid in the reservoir and seeing the disgusting muddy charcoal colour I changed the slave cylinder. Apart from the usual frustrations during the install it appears to work fine however I have noticed that the clutch engages sooner on the lever than before.
Is that normal? I hadn't experienced any slippage prior to noticing the discoloration of the fluid so I'm hopeful that I caught the problem prior to any friction plate contamination. The 1150GSA has 93K miles and has been maintained regularly and is still on it's original final drive.
