1150GS complete spotlight kits

I could be quite interested in one of these. Does anyone have any photos they can attach to show the installation - where they mount the switch etc.
Cheers

the on/off switch supplied is the PIAA waterproof switch

http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=PIA-74034&variation=&aitem=2&mitem=7

it is usually mounted on the left side of the instrument binnacle using the self adhesive pad supplied... its just looking for a clean flat surface to adhere too

the spotlight bar just mounts up under the oil cooler using the two longer screws and spacers supplied

1150 kits are available
1100 kits all sold till Jan 8th

great, and presumably, they are fine to be run "on" all of the time with dips?

yep

the ring lamps use a standard Halogen H3 55watt bulb (per) so a blown bulb wont break the bank, the lamps take their power direct from the battery through a relay and fuse (all pre-wired)

DID THIS MYSELF A WHILE BACK,BUT FIND THEY BLIND ONCOMMING TRAFFIC,IS IT POSSIBLE TO PUT A SMALLER BULB IN AND IF SO WHICH TYPE, HAVE THEM WIRED INTO THE DIP BEAM WHICH IS HID SO NOT REALLY NEEDED BUT GREAT FOR WATCHIN THE CARS PULL IN AND LET YOU BY.

Fitted my light bar this afternoon, and I'm very VERY impressed....... A quality piece of kit and a doddle to fit... ( I mean if I can fit one, anyone can..... seriously, is not difficult).
Trying to post pics but I'm having a few probs.....

I have to admit I wasn't happy about putting the switch as described above.. so I put mine here.

So far it's remained absolutely solid.. held in place both by the adhesive pad and a tie-wrap as shown.
If it comes loose my intention is to get a jubilee clip - have a small flat plate either welded or riveted in place and stick it to that in the same position.

but so far.. it's been fine.

your switch position looks good... bit more user friendly where you have it:thumb

note: the switch is "push" on and "push" off with quite a light action so is ideal for a gloved thumb.. the switch LED iluminates red or green to indicate on/off

its a quality item and worth the extra expense!

PJAY blinding other road users isn't really an issue, the lamps i supply are adjustable up & down and side to side :nenau bulbs are H3 55W Halogen

This is true... I have after a bit of experimenting got mine in a position where they 'fill out' and hugely improve the 'dip' and when on High beam they continue to illuminate the 'dip' area - which all in all is a massive improvement for both light positions.

With the spots in a permanent 'dip' position I have yet to be flashed at by an Irate (temporarily blinded) cager. :thumb

What about making a batch for the 1200? Sure you will find many takers! :oonyack

Big Tom
