Can anyone let me know where I can get a exhaust lowering kit to lower my Remus out of the way of my panniers. I have found a few web sites with them but they seem to be discontinued.
I really just need the angled pipe section as I can make the brackets myself.

Thanks

Have a look on ebay at sellers advertising exhaust bends, you can usually persuade them to create a slip joint on one end for you for a couple of pounds extra........................they are available with all manner of angles from 15 degrees through to 180.

Alternatively, if you still have the original cat on the bike, just remove that heavy lump of a silencer altogether and put a short slip on stubby pipe on the end to stop the rain going into the cat. Then you can get any size of pannier on.

I got a lowering kit made up at the local boy racer stainless steel exhaust shop. Custom made pipe bend and brackets including fitting for £40.

+1 on the stubby.

Ran one for about 60,000 miles. No issues with the engine, full size left pannier.

It also frees up a bit more torque at low revs and saves the weight of the can which is completely unnecessary as long as you have the original catalyst fitted. THe cat us EU stamped as a silencer.

I also run a stubby for the same reasons, and it also works well for me.

However, to answer your question......cbrgaz nailed it.....you can get a short bend running through about 30 degrees on ebay for less than a tenner.....either slip on or weld on, and you can make a 'weld on' one fit by cutting a slot with an angle grinder then binding it with an exhaust clamp pretty easily.

As an alternative, you can get assorted lengths of flexible connector pipes, so you can adjust to ANY angle of dangle, but they look rather different to a solid wall pipe.

All you need is the OD of the section you need......offhand, I think it's 54mmbut check that :thumb2

Don't forget to stick a rubber connection into your setup somewhere or you could end up with some nasty vibrations and/or rattling at certain engine speeds......a simple bolt through mushroom is enough, and they are pennies from any online 'zorst place.

Wudo used to make a lowering kit for the lebbenfiddy, but it was stupid money for what amounted to no more than a couple of ally plates and a 4 inch(ish) bend section....about 80 quid years ago :blast
