1150GS Front Shock Clearance

Hi there.

Just re-fitted a front shock to my 1150GS after a service and something doesn't seem right.

There's only about a millimetre of clearance between the shock and the engine block cover (please see attached pic).

I realise there's not much room for fitting it incorrectly but this just seems wrong to me.

Surely it isn't meant to be this close is it ?

Just looked at mine and exactly the same no probs go and ride it!

Ps I have Ohlins fitted too

Took it for a spin and it all seems fine.

Just wish I hadn't spent £25 on an Ohlins shock cover now as there's no way it's gonna fit round it !

Let's hope another stone doesn't pit the rod and send it back for more servicing ;-)
