Hi all,
I hope some of you technical wizards might be able to help with my problem.
My dear old 34k mile 1150gs is suffering from a strange vibration. It is most noticeable at about 2500 rpm in 4th gear, It's a throbbing type vibration (oo,er!) that comes and goes at about one second intervals. You can feel it right through the bike from the bars to the seat.
On the last ride out, the gearbox started making fairly horrible clattery noises in fifth and sixth gear when on a closed throttle and not under load. There has been a fair amount of slack in the transmission over the last 5000 miles, but now it seems worse.
I'll take in to the dealers when I get a chance, but I just wondered if anyone knew whether the two things are related.
