1150GS Pannier Heat shield

It is not obvious to me exactly where on the ns pannier the BMW heat shield should be fitted (Part No. 46 54 2 316 611), i.e. longest side vertical or horizontal etc, has anyone a picture please?

I've got 2 on mine, I vertical, one horizontal

I can only afford the one!!!, its on now in horizontal position, ride planned for tomorrow, will advise if it aint any good.
