1150Gs RID.

Would like some help and possible fix...

The RID on my GS has stopped showing Temp/Fuel/Gear. It was working fine up until 2312 on Saturday night, that was when I arrived home with it working fine, when I turned the ignition on this morning nothing except the clock frozen at 2312. Its as if the RID has frozen / locked up..is that possible

Have checked the fuse, connector RH side below fuel tank, when the ignition is turned on I get all the right noises.

Any ideas or do I need a new RID?........

mind not having gear and fuel but would prefer to have oil temp.....

Check and clean the RID connector. It's one of the bank of connectors under the very front of the tank on the top of the frame.

Aha, I know this one.
The problem is that the RID has crashed. You need to reset it.

There is a plug somewhere which you just need to pull out and reconnect and everything will be fine.

I'm guessing you've got HIDs....? Sometimes when the battery is a bit undervoltage the HIDs don't spark up properly and it causes some kind of interference which crashes the RID.

sorted..now working perfectly.......

and yes I do have a HID fitted compliments of Les.... and its a new battery.....
