Hi a bit of a technical problem

Any hints, or pointers to someone who can help gratiously received

i have a 2002 r1150gs and it is fitted with a stainless steel pipe that eliminates the catalyst – but has o2 sensor still fitted, and a remus revolution titanium silencer. It seems to run very rich, the rear right indicator is constantly black with soot. I was investigating and found the fuel injection coding relay unplugged. I connected it and it runs a little leaner but is still sooting up the rear indicator, and the bike doesn’t pull so well. Do i need a different coding relay for the motronic fuel injection or do i neeed some other help?????

Hi Nick

My guess would be that your bike runs lean like everyone elses. The black soot is a by product of modern fuels. If you check your plugs they will no doubt be on the white side colour wise.

Leave the cat code unplugged or try the Steptoe Mod (use the search facility).

If it's the right indicator, it must be very rich
