Running rich

Hi all
Since I sold my 1150 r I replaced it with a 1100gs
It’s been doing very little for 5 years
About 200 miles
It starts fine but it’s very fumey
When you ride it and shut throttle there’s a real loud back fire
Engines quiet but I don’t think it s as smooth as my old 1150
Blocked injector maybe?
Are the 1200 injector mod worth doing?
To be fair apart from fumes removing your eyes and the backfiring on overrun it nice to ride
It’s running a aftermarket end can

What year of 1100 ?
Earlier bikes have a Co pot which is adjustable for mixture,

They’re all 4 valve ….
Your year has a Co pot, it’s located cable tied on the rear of the subframe on the righthand side.
Adjustable with a screwdriver, I forget what the exhaust co reading should be, think it’s 1.5/2% on a gas analyzer
