1150GSA Spruce Up

The resurrection

I am now the owner of this mintier than minty GSA and she will not be spending time in any sort of cocoon type of nonsense :D
I'm going to personalise her and then bang on as many miles as possible next year, she'll be keeping my 04' twin spark GSA ,my 98' GS1100 and the CCM644 company out in the cold wooden shed...
The 1100 & CCM will get used through the winter months and the 2 fat ladies will get plenty of summer use..the ex. johnfox bike will be doing Dent and probably Germany then my current GSA will be looking at Turkey in September :thumb

Will be selling a complete set of BMW panniers and racks soon (decided to stick with my current Touratitt tatty set but am looking for a frame rack to suit to fit to the single spark), there will also be 2 complete BMW rear carrier and top box sets to go

I'm going to be away for a bit but will get this lot photographed and loaded onto the for sale section once I've had a think about value..also on the lookout for a Remus can.

The bike is still in lovely condition and has been well serviced, also came with a set of Nitron shocks with less than 1000 miles on...WOW.
Many of the other farkles have been sold on but she is still a beut....whatever happened to John Fox:nenau
Well, I have a clutch of old invoices and receipts and one has a mobile number..texted but no reply as yet!

Just looked at John Fox's profile. He was last online here on 1/5/17. He's still a paid up member, which makes me think the "auto renew " feature. Must be activated. You did well to buy the bike, was it from a dealer ?

I actually got it from Ebay! I've been looking for a while and it literally appeared as I was watching and in no time there were 20 watchers, I contacted the seller through the site & asked him to ring me back as it was urgent..he did within 10 minutes.
We chatted and I got some history and quickly realised that he was genuine so hit the buy it now while we were talking :D
As far as I am concerned it was an absolute bargain and I still can't believe it!!
Did I say it was mint
The starter is a bit sticky and it idles too high (both easy fixes) but the engine sounds lovely and tight and very smooth, considerably more so than my 70k miler.

The mileage is a bit much though, it's shot up to 31k..

And the seller is on this forum, another reason I was happy to buy it quick :augie

I might be interested in a gsa top box

Box and rack? If I sell the box without the rack I might struggle to sell the rack?
PM if you are interested and I can send pics to your email if required but give me a couple of days as I've been away and now need to catch up on a few things.
I didn't intend to advertise anything until next week so I can hang onto stuff meantime if you are keen.

Mike.
