1150GSA Suspension 1k(ish) to spend.

They've changed the colour of the collar I see, gone is the gold. Also front one is black and rear is the old colour.....strange.

They will feel lots better when you get a few miles on them for sure.

They look lovely. Takes me back to hurriedly fitting mine the night before sending the bike off to Italy. My test ride consisted of a quick drive up Holloway Road then loading it into a lorry. Next time I rode it, was through Rome traffic, then all the way back to London via the Route Napoleon.

Hello guys,

I managed to get in touch with the English supplier of Mupo. I'm currently looking at the step 2 or 3, very similar in price.

Does anyone have any experience with those? It's an Italian manufacturer and they do stuff for competition. Materials seem to be great and the quality of the products should be at the top of the range. Some people say they are even better than Ohlins.

Price similar to Nitron.

How are you getting on with the Nitron kit? Which kit did you get? Are you happy with it?

I got the basic shocks but with remote adjustable preload on the rear.

I think they are great, transformed the bike imho. Now they have bedded in they are great at soaking up the bumps, but firm enough to fling it around a bit too. Steering is far more precise and shows up just how crap a rider I am :D

I've taken in a couple of lanes on them too and they make the bike so much easier to ride over the rough stuff.

When they were new they were a bit too firm for my liking, but after 1000 miles they have bedded in nicely.

Thanks for your feedback Flipfly.

Have you already ridden your bike two up and fully loaded?

What do you mean with 'basic'? Can you specify the model? Is it the Adventure R1 (formerly called Sport+)?

I'm now in the position to choose between Nitron and Mupo (price is very similar) and I cannot make a choice :blast

Where are those rocker cover guards from Flip?

Mine were the Adventure shocks with the thicker shaft and 46mm piston, but without the additional gas reservoir.

Touratwat bud, got them used from a fellow tosser.

Arrived today. I love my new toys :thumb

After having a shit week at work, I decided to fit my nice shiny new shocks as a way to cheer myself up. Have a look at the photos I posted earlier can you see what is missing? I wish I'd noticed before I removed the old shock :blast:blast

All fitted.....

The missing bits have now arrived and the front fitted and I can feel a difference over the standard set up. Just need to ride the bike some more to see if it was all worth while :)

Flipfly,

How do you find the kit? Are you happy?

Love mine, compared to my T595 the GSA is a magic carpet ride, but still firm enough to keep things in check when you get ya wiggle on. The GSA always handled well with the stock shocks, but there is a feel of better control. It's less bouncy but still soaks up the bumps.

And was it?

One word "Confidence",

I am not a fast rider and quite content to plod along in my own little world. I have used the default settings from out of the box, I find that I have more confidence in the bike it feels better and I am happy with that.

Is that feeling £700 quid better than getting the shocks rebuilt. For me it was close, but I think it was worth it, just.
