Hi All

I'm thinking of doing a couple of mods to my 1150RT to try and spice it up a little.

I keep seeing the replacement engine chips advertised on the Motorworks website. Has anyone tried these and what other mods work well? I've currently got the standard exhaust on him but would think about changing that too.

If you fit a Techlusion you can play around with the fueling as you please. I actually fitted one of the first ones with the bloke who was marketing them and Steve Bellars back when I used to be a BMW Technician. We had very good results and the bike felt very much more powerful. Because we were evaluating the Techlusion to see if it could remove the lean surge characteristics of the early 1150RT we reduced the additional fueling down to the minimum needed to get rid of lean surge.
if you go for one I'd suggest velcro ing it to the tank and taking a small screwdriver out on road test so you can get it how you want it much faster than keep going back to the workshop.

Mods For RT as Follows

GS intake tubes = Vast improvement in midrange power / torque Cheapest and most beneficial mod You can do to an R RS or RT

Remus decat system and tail pipe= Better gasflowing engine breathes better

Can't remember if its the GS fuel pressure regulator or the S one you fit to boost fuel atomisation I.e higher fuel pressure

BUt None of it is worth a Gnats Gnadger if you don't take the time to do the valve clearances and sync the throttles!!Properly!!!!
