1190 ADV R with a difference .......

Looking good - I'd definitely like to see the bike in one good photo. I'm interested to see how the front mudguard looks as well. Nice job again ...!

I think it'll look well ;)

Fixed......:aidan

I have to disagree fella. I happen to think that the LC8 950 ADV is the pinnacle of the Adventure bike class. As soon as the computers started taking over the Adventure bike ethos became diluted by the consumer market. The 990's were good don't get me wrong but the 950's are the real deal.

I was only referring to the paint scheme......;)

In that case ...... you're probably right :D

This side topic has of course awoken the pangs inside my brain which make me want to give mine a paint job. I was considering it last year but ended up just machine polishing it which really did bring it back up to scratch.......... However, I do fancy giving it something special ....... god damn it!

Here's some more that Steve / Andrew / Steve has sent me. Turns out the standard mudguard (which is the one I painted white) doesn't fit the 'R' version :blast

Tbh, I think the black guard looks better as it doesn't draw the eye away from the main bodywork and that fantastic paint job. :beerjug:

Looks a cracking job ... :thumb2

There's something hardcore about the wheels (more specifically I guess the spoke nipples) on this bike

compared to the ones on this one......

I know very little about KTM wheel apart from that many of them were made from some form of cheese (We suffered from several 'show stopping' bent rims in Morocco over the years, and none on BMW tubeless wheels) but from an image only point of view (yah I know, that's shallow) I REALLY like the look of the wheels on the top bike :)

Defiantly agree , it makes the 990 look very old and a bit puny . The wheels look like they already have knobblies on!

That's the best 1190 I've seen , very nice

Great paintwork again, most excellent , don't know how you do it :thumb
