12v take off

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can anyone tell me if the 12v take off should power down after the ignition is turned off ?
Bike is a 1995 1100gs

What do you mean " power down" - ( thats what the 1200's do )

Do you mean "turn of with the ignition" .

If thats what you mean, no it doesn't ( are we also talking about the "take off" on the starter motor cover ?) again,of so, it's wired directly to the battery, enabling you to charge your battery throught the socket .

Yup thats what i meant :thumb
I was thinking about powering an autocom off the back of the socket
but if it is likely to drain the battery i better think again :mmmm
got a rear disc for a 1100gs 1995 while i remember ?
thanks for the help

An Autocom should be connected to a switched feed anyway.

Lift the flasher relay and splice into the green/blue wire.
