1200 adventure june

just had phone call my bmw dealer will not have my 1200 adventure ready until june,ordered it in november good job i bought a 1991 yamaha tdm 850 to keep me sane until then only 800 quid cracking little bike,roll on june

I'm thinking of buying a KTM 950 Adventure to tie me over

Although I've spec'd the bike I'm not 100% convinced that I'll go ahead. I sat on the Adv at Ally Pally yesterday and it seemed as if the Adv seat on low is very slightly higher than the GS seat on high (but I forgot to check where the preload was set). I still can't get a definitive answer on whether the low seat from the 12GS will fit. I took my low seat to the show to try it on the Adv but the guys on the stand reckoned they didn't have the keys to release the seat. Nor did they have the keys to open the panniers or top box. Wasted journey other than the chance to chat to Si Pavey et al.

Touratech specifies the same seats for basic/adventure and as far as i know they use the same mountingpoints as original so most likely will the low seat för r12gs fit the Adventure too.

I was told by the BMW guys at the NEC that the GS 'Low' seat will fit the GSA
