1200 GS immobiliser/immobilised????????

Just a really quick question for you all/anyone who really knows. Is a 1200 immobilised and what year did they start fitting immobilisers??? Im asking because one of the places I have to leave my bike is well known for theiving cnuts from the local pikey council estate coming across the road and seeing what they can nick from the more well heeled of us who actuallly get off our arses and go out to work (IE those of us who arent spending all their dole money on weed and other such niceties) And the bike I'm looking at does not have an alarm, so if they were able to move it away could they get it started without the key. YES I know a lock and chain and disc lock and big dog might deter them, but it didnt when I had my Pegaso........

Immobiliser is a standard fit - the alarm is optional. Immobiliser is set when you remove the key and needs key to start the bike - hence the problems with the ring antenna which talks to the key to ensure that it matches the bike. However, I think they are largely sorted now.
