Guys,
I am going to take the plunge and by a new 1200 GSA !
What I am after is an idea of what to pay from the dealer for the bike etc.
Any examples of specs and prices would be much appreciated.
Cheers Kev

Phone around and ask for a price "fully loaded" and compare...........BMW dealers are not known for discounting but I got a "full spec" 09 bike in May this year for the price of a bike of my own spec-price difference was around £1200 and I got the panniers for free:thumb2............... it's worth keeping in mind that there is an updated model for next year, you might get a keen price on an existing model (subject to availability) try and get some extra's thrown in or discounted,or if it's the new model you want be prepared to pay full list and join a queue :augie

Why the bold print? No need to shout

Hi Kev,
Before you can discuss a deal, it may be worth sitting down with the dealer to discuss what bikes are available.
You cannot spec your own bike,as all bikes that are left before the new model comes out are already here. So you will have to choose from what the dealer has in stock, or what other dealers are willing to let your dealer have. I believe they are only allowed to hang onto them for 43days?before another dealer can request that bike if they have a customer for it.
I am also led to believe that there are not that many of either the GS or GSA left in the country.
Kev, i can't confirm that any of the above is true, but it's what i was told by a very reputable dealer.
So if you want one you might have to get your skates on.
I was also advised that there was not a 1200se left in the country, but if anyone knows different i wouldn't mind a heads up.

Steve

I was looking for an ex demo at the weekend and was offered a new one with Premium and Dynamic and alarm for £12400 but be aware that was if they could actually get one to that spec as there were only 14 in the country and finding the spec you want may be difficult. I know that Lind in Norwich had one of this spec in red coming along very soon, they wanted £12800 but I dont think there was any real discount on offer due to the new bike coming along.

Ditto the above, there's still quite a few full spec bikes around but if you want one to your own spec you may struggle.

I got the last red GSA with only the premium pack fitted last month for £10500 with free panniers from Motorrad Central in Glasgow.
They seem a decent dealer with good pricing and they gave me free delivery to my home.

Get as close to 10% off list price as you can dealers will want to shift the current model in readiness for the 2010 updated model.

Sorry to ask.. :bow
Was that with a trade in ?
Or cash ?
Or cash + finance ?

Looking on MCN there are 19 GSAs for sale registered in 2009, some with 0 miles and many with less than 2000 miles so it looks like the dealers are trying to offload their stock bikes and demonstrators ahead of the new version.

Play hard ball. Ring a load of dealers. Play them off against each other. You'll be able to get 10% off list if you know how to haggle.
