I am in the market for a 1200 GSA having recently sold my 1150 GSA.
My budget really limited me to an MU model, however I recently rode a friends R1200 RT which has the twin cam engine in it and it felt much crisper than his outgoing non twin cam model. (I accept that the test might not have been completely fair as one s brand new and the outgoing model had 30k on the clock).

Has anyone any experience of an MU model that has been subject of a hilltop remap
And compared it with the twin cam. Would they be comparable ? Or should I just keep waiting until next year when the prices may fall.

Your views would be gratefully received.

I have an '08 GSA which has had the Hilltop remap. Admittedly it also has remus headers and an Akra exhaust but its putting out 107bhp at the back wheel with 89 torquey things at 5.5k revs. That's compared to 87bhp and 67 torquey things at 7.5k revs. Its really transformed the bike and has really made me rethink about any need to go buy a new WC let alone anything else as performance wise I wouldn't gain anything in any meaningful comparison. Saved a heap of money in that respect.
