Not sure if this has been posted, couldn't find it ( yes, i did look )
But in stark contrast to the info written in MCN regarding the appx pricing for the new 1200GSA due to go on sale Spring '06, MCN has it as appx £9500 as standard, however at the NEC when i asked the guys at the desk, i was told that it's actually due to be released at between £10-11000!!
I loved the look of the bike, but at that price, it can stay in the showroom!
Lets be honest, what would i really do on the GSA that i can't do on my stock 12GS? The reality is, i'd use it no differently and even the extended mileage would make no difference, my arse wouldn't last 450 odd miles, so i'd be stopping anyway for a rest... i may aswell refuel when i do!!
Don't get me wrong, i'm sure it'll be great for the hardcore Long Way Rounders, but my opinion, 99% of buyers, will actually do nothing on it that they couldn't have done on the cheaper, lighter, better value stock 12GS!
Each to their own though eh...
