Can anyone tell me how different the new 1200 GSA is likely to handle compared to my 1200 GS? :nenau

I know it will be heavier and has a bigger tank, plus the seat height is higher but how will that affect daily commuting etc.

Will it be more difficult to handle in towns and will it be as stable on the road, or more so because of the extra weight.

I fancy the GSA for many reasons including greater tank range when touring but just am not sure enough to put a deposit down now.

Having said that, I do like the improved looks compared to the GS. :ymca

Obviously the most important thing is that the new GSA looks really really cool.

Any know when any of the bike magazines will do a review of it?

Get your name down now and you might get one for Christmas
I'm told numbers will be limited-initially but production is likely to be increased later in the year, many dealers have confirmed orders for 10 or more,I'm also told official launch in the U.K. is March 25th
I had an e-mail from a Dutch GSer who 's been told his 1200GSA is being delivered March 25th,maybe mainland Europe gets it before us?
Either way,you should get plenty of unbiased appraisals on the forums and in the comics before you're likely to take delivery

Hi,

two weeks ago there was a preview in Amsterdam for Dutch BMW clients. Two evenings with both >1000 visitors. The R1200GSA was there too. The general manager of BMW Holland told us that 50% of the Dutch GSA's was allready sold! :thumb
Later on the event it became less crowded and I was able to sit on the GSA. My knees fitted nicely in the holes in the tank. I'm 1.95 m.
The official introduction is on March 25th. The first GSA's will probably also be delivered that day. I hope mine is ready then too. It needs a paintjob because I bought a Yellow one  .

Still 2 months and 1 day to go...

P.S. I am the Dutchman 2 wheel humvee mentioned
