Mouse, dead right. Clamps around the trellis support for the front of the bike. I wanted to be sure the mounting and clamp could cope with the rigours of GS'ing. Once clamped up you can if your strong enough bend the stainless steel mounts. These are 3mm thick and it takes a lot of strength ( weight ) to bend them.
Ran them with 5lbs fastened to each side and it never bothered them. Price not sure yet haven't got the bill from my main man. Looking to supply the whole kit for around £70 but that is only a guess. Be able to give a real price by the weekend. All you need to fit the assembly is a 13mm open end or ring spanner. An adjustable wrench would do the same job. All the kit is stainless except the main clamp which is solid aluminium. Comes complete with cable ties and allen key and all nuts and bolts. I am not in this trying to make a living, there just were not any bars about and I wanted one. So my fabricator came up with this and it fits my requirements. Price as always depends on volume. I don't intend to order more than 12. Then thats it. Next thing is a s/s headlight guard, again I haven't seen one that looks right or at the right price, mine will be.
