1200 mile Service

Is there a 1200 mile service , or do you mean a 12,000 mile service?

This subject keeps getting done to death and your best bet is to ring round a couple of dealers to get the best price. As you are in Sheffield, I would also call Jonno and Gary at Adventure Bike Warehouse in Manchester as they are sure to be cheaper and you will get a much better service. And no, it will not affect your warranty begore you ask:D

I have checked the service docs and there is no mention of final drive checks or oil change, am I missing something Colin

Do it yourself! It saves your hard earnt cash and you know exactly what has been done and it isn't difficult.
Just done the 12 on my CAMHEAD and 20 on my wife's harley. Used all genuine parts saved £450 between them and enjoyed doing it.

Yes:thumb It's a long time since mine was serviced so I'm not up to speed with service schedules. However, oil is a definate change and I'm pretty sure FD oil is as well. If it's not, do it yourself for peace of mind:thumb

Engine oil and filter, final drive oil change, air filter ,spark plugs and checks on other obvious things as well as resetting the service light. £250 - £350 depending where you go so make a couple of phone calls first.

it was 2 years I believe hence its not on the annual sheets, and for a while bikes were made with sealed FD's so it didnt figure at all, my Haynes manual (mine is a sealed for life) doesnt mention an interval but says 'owners may wish to change oil later in the vehicles life'
